Get ready for a musical revolution, as Broadway In Detroit welcomes powerhouse vocalist LEDISI to the Fisher Theatre. Since the late 1990s, she’s garnered 12 Grammy nominations — winning the Best Traditional R&B Performance category with her hit “Anything for You” — three Soul Train Music awards, an NAACP Theater Award and six NAACP Image Award nominations. Most recently, LEDISI received two LA Alliance Ovation Award nominations, one for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Her impact spans music, film, and television. LEDISI made her mark with roles in Leatherheads, the Oscar-nominated Selma, and the impactful The Tale of Four. She portrayed Patti LaBelle on BET’s American Soul and shone in FX’s “POSE” and “Twice Bitten” on BET Plus. In 2022, she wowed fans as Mahalia Jackson in “Remember Me” and embodied Gladys Knight in the biopic “Spinning Gold.” Her venture into jazz with “Ledisi Sings Nina” had The New York Times hailing her bravura self-assurance and included a sold-out show at the prestigious Carnegie Hall.
